Recap

At night, as a Pumpkinmon and a Gotsumon are having fun in the city, Matt is taking TK home on the subway. It's late, so TK volunteers to go home by himself, but Matt says he will take him the whole way because he's his brother. Patamon and Tsunomon overhear, and Patamon says that "we like when you guys get mushy." TK gets angry for listening to their conversation. Feeling unwanted, Patamon angrily flies off the train. TK, Matt, and Tsunomon quickly follow after, but Patamon has disappeared. Meanwhile, Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon accidentally run into a teenage girl. When she has an attitude towards them, Pumpkinmon tries to "reprogram" her by adjusting her nose ring.
As the trio searches the city for Patamon, they see Pumpkin and Gostumon running. Tsunomon digivolves into Gabumon and confronts them. The duo explains that they are being chased by a girl, so Matt, TK, and Gabumon help hide them. Gabumon then realizes that the two were sent by Myotismon to find the eighth child. However, Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon claim that they just want to have fun in the Real World. A little while later, they see Patamon flying by and then chase after, but Patamon once again disappears.
To cheer them up, Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon steal some ice cream cones, but the vendor they stole them from soon chases after them. However, they manage to lose her and end up in an alley. A lightning bolt then hits the ground, revealing Myotismon! Angry that his minions have been goofing off, Myotismon orders Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon to steal Matt and TK's crests and tags. Gabumon, TK, and Matt run away, and Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon give chase. They eventually corner the trio but decide not to fight. Instead they ask the three if they want to hang out.
A flash of lightning signals Myotismon's arrival, so Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon tell them to hide. When the two tell Myotismon that they got away, he condemns them to his dungeon in the Digital World. After Myotismon disposes of the two, Gabumon digivolves into Garurumon and attacks. He is no match for Myotismon, but Matt's anger causes him to digivolve into WereGarurumon.
Elsewhere, Patamon sees the battle and heads towards it. As Myotismon overpowers WereGarurumon and prepares to destroy him, Patamon digivolves into Angemon. After WereGarurumon is saved, the duo forces Myotismon to retreat. As they then head home, they reminisce about their crazy night with Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon.
Elsewhere, Gatomon is watching Kari, and Kari's digivice is in a bird's nest...
