Prophecy (1) - Recap

Izzy receives a message from Gennai, who claims he may have a way to defeat Myotismon once and for all. He then translates to them ancient text, which reads, "The sky will be darkened by the wings of many bats. The fallen people will invoke the name of the undead digimon king, and when the clock strikes the hour of the beast, the undead king will reveal himself in his true form as the beast. Then angels will shoot arrows of hope and light at the loved ones of those they've been sent to protect, and a miracle will happen. Please always recycle." Puzzled, the gang departs to return to their homes. A little while later, they are outside of Odaiba Mansion, waiting for Joe. In his home, he and Bukamon look for his parents. Joe's brother Jim then emerges from the closet, claiming that monsters wrecked the place.
As TK, Matt, their father, and their digimon partners try to find a way through the fog barrier, the rest of the gang goes to the convention center. After destroying the Bakemon guards, they find all the parents in a deep sleep. Elsewhere, having failed to get through the fog barrier, the others return to their van. However, Gizamon begin to attack, but a swarm of digimon bats destroys them and then fly over to Myotismon's mask.
Back in the convention center, Izzy's parents tell him that they aren't his real parents. He replies that he already knows because he overheard them talking years ago, and that's what caused him to drift away from them and bury himself in his computer. Izzy's adoptive father then tells him that he is a distant cousin of his real father, who died in a car crash along with his real mother. Having lost a child of their own at the time, his adoptive parents gladly took him in. When they add that to them, he is their real son, Izzy bursts into tears and hugs them.
Meanwhile, Sora's mother awakens, but she is in a trance. She then states Myotismon's name. At the same time, Myotismon's mask raises into the air as its owner returns in the form of a shadow. He then demands more energy, so his bats consume his fallen henchmen.
Elsewhere, when all the parents began chanting Myotismon's name, the gang realizes that it's part of the prophecy. Matt's father then states that the hour of the Beast, which is when Myotismon is supposed to return, is 6:06:06. Tai, Agumon, Matt, Gabumon, and Matt's father depart to prevent his return, but time runs out before they can. A building then explodes, revealing the gigantic VenomMyotismon! Agumon and Gabumon digivolve to their Champion forms but are no match. VenomMyotismon demands more power, so DemiDevimon suggests the people at the convention center. He agrees, but first he eats DemiDevimon!
Greymon and Garurumon digivolve to their Ultimate forms, but their attacks are useless. While the digimon stay behind, Tai, Matt, and Matt's father go to the convention center to warn the others. Gatomon states that they can never escape VenomMyotismon, so they have to destroy him. The other digimon agree and are ready to fight, but Gatomon reveals that she only needs Patamon.
As Tai, Matt, Matt's father, TK, Kari, Izzy, and Izzy's parents ride towards the battle, Patamon and Gatomon digivolve. Meanwhile, VenomMyotismon drains MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon of their power, reverting them to their Rookie forms. As he prepares to destroy them, Angewomon and Angemon arrive. They attack, saving Agumon and Gabumon, but their blasts do no harm. Izzy looks VenomMyotismon up on his laptop, revealing that he has gone beyond the Ultimate level! Matt's father then asks him about the part of the prophecy mentioning angels. Realizing that Angemon and Angewomon are the angels, the gang tells them to throw their arrows of hope and light at Tai and Matt, the loved ones of Kari and TK. When the arrows connect, Agumon and Gabumon warp-digivolve into their Mega forms of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon!
