The Battle For Earth (2) - Recap

After Tai and Matt are hit by the arrows of Angemon and Angewomon, Agumon and Gabumon warp-digivolve to WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon! WarGreymon then attacks VenomMyotismon, knocking him over. However, the enemy gets up, but MetalGarurumon freezes him in ice. Once again their attacks are useless as he easily breaks free. VenomMyotismon begins firing throughout the city, and the van holding Tai, Kari, Matt, TK, Izzy, Tentomon, Matt's father, and Izzy's father crashes in order to dodge a falling building, but they make it out safely. Elsewhere, the rest of the gang decides to help defeat VenomMyotismon, so Palmon, Gomamon, and Biyomon digivolve to their Champion forms. Tentomon sees them, so he digivolves into Kabuterimon. All the digimon attack at once, blasting a hole through VenomMyotismon's stomach! However, a giant creature's head appears from the hole and takes them all out in one blast.
The gang starts doubting that they can win, but Tai vows to himself that he'll never give up. Suddenly all their crests begin to glow. Beams emerge from the crests and wrap around VenomMyotismon, tying him up. Tai then states that the creature may represent Myotismon's true form, so the Megas both attack it and destroy VenomMyotismon!
As everyone put to sleep by Myotismon begins waking up, the gang sees a continent in the sky within waved warps. It spreads throughout the entire world, but no technology can detect it. TK's and Matt's mother arrives and is happy to see her children. The rest of the gang is sad that their parents aren't there, but Jim arrives and tells them that their families are back to normal.
Izzy looks up at the continent and recognizes a mountain. As Tai looks at it through his telescope, he notices an airplane. When the plane gets too near the warps, it malfuctions and begins to plummet. Birdramon flies up to save it, and along the way, she sees a Kuwagamon. Birdramon isn't strong enough to hold up the plane, so she then digivolves into Garudamon. Kabuterimon flies up to help and also notices Kuwagamon. He attacks, but his blast passes right through it!
After the plane is placed down, Izzy confirms his suspicions that the continent is actually the Digital World! As Jim shows them news reports about digimon appearing throughout the world, Izzy realizes that since time passes differently between the worlds, their few days in the Real World equal years in the Digital World. Koromon states that since the Digital World was in such bad shape when they left, it has gotten worse since then, to which Sora adds that the problems there are affecting the Real World.
Tai proposes that they return to the Digital World, and the gang agrees. Using their digivices, they create a giant, rainbow-like beam connecting between the worlds. They then step into it and begin floating upwards. They yell their goodbyes to their parents as they depart from the Real World.
