Playing Games - Recap

Inside of MetalSeadramon's mouth, WarGreymon struggles to prevent the giant teeth from chomping down on him. MetalSeadramon prepares to destroy him, but Whamon comes to the rescue by ramming him. Angry, the Dark Master blasts a hole through Whamon with his River of Power attack. WarGreymon then begins his Nova Force technique as his foe fires off another River of Power blast. However, WarGreymon easily cuts through it and flies into MetalSeadramon, destroying him from the inside!
After Whamon dies, the gang notices that his data, as well as the data of MetalSeadramon, is floating towards the peak of Spiral Mountain. The ground then begins shaking as Spiral Mountain's ocean disappears to be reconfigured. Atop Spiral Mountain, Puppetmon departs to have his go at the DigiDestined.
The gang starts to leave, but Mimi stops them as she makes graves for their fallen allies. She then refuses to fight anymore, since it only leads to more death, but Tai urges her to continue. This angers Matt, who calls Tai cold-hearted for not respecting their feelings. The two begin arguing, but Joe, realizing that they're out in the open, convinces them to keep moving.
As the gang walks through a forest, Kari stops after hearing a voice. She tells Gatomon about it but then shrugs it off. Meanwhile, Puppetmon is at his home, watching them on a TV and waiting for them to arrive. Impatient, he uses a remote control to move the ground beneath them forward. He then looks through his toy chest for a toy, but when he comes back to the TV, they've disappeared. Unknown to the Dark Master, the gang is hiding in a tree. Tai suggests finding and defeating whoever is causing the ground to move, and Matt starts arguing with him again. Tai then suddenly disappears, followed by Mimi, Sora, Izzy, Joe, and Kari. Puppetmon begins randomly teleporting the gang throughout the forest by moving dolls of them across a map. Matt tells TK to stick close to him, but TK replies that he doesn't need Matt's protection. Elsewhere, after seeing TK on his TV, Puppetmon figures that he'll be easy to scare. He then departs to kidnap TK so that he can play with him.
Matt asks TK if he is alright, and TK replies that he is okay. However, when Matt asks him if he is sure, TK starts yelling at him to stop worrying so much. Puppetmon then appears, and after wrapping Matt in a strange substance, he tells TK that he'll destroy his brother if he doesn't come with him to play. TK reluctantly follows Puppetmon back to his home, where he is told to hide for a game of hide-and-seek. After nearly getting caught, TK runs into Puppetmon's room. He accidentally steps on the remote control, which moves the ground once again. Luckily, it ends up reuniting the rest of the gang.
After being freed by Gabumon, the distraught Matt informs the gang that TK has been taken by Puppetmon. They set off to find him but soon run into Kiwimon, one of Puppetmon's servants. The Rookies then battle him. Meanwhile, as Patamon enters Puppetmon's room through a window, Puppetmon finds TK. However, TK tricks him by calling him boring and claiming that he has no friends. An upset Puppetmon replies that he does have friends, and he'll go get them. As Puppetmon walks away, Patamon locates TK. The duo then destroys the remote control and map.
Back in the forest, Matt and Tai start arguing once again, with Matt saying that they need to find TK first before they fight Tai's "war." Gabumon then tries to warp-digivolve, but it doesn't work! Matt stares at his crest, horrified that it won't glow. At the same time that TK and Patamon escape from the house as Puppetmon finishes "making" a friend, Biyomon digivolves into Birdramon to save the gang from one of Kiwimon's attack. She then destroys the enemy with her Meteor Wing.
Sora congratulates her digimon for the victory, but Matt angrily says that they won't find TK now. However, TK and Patamon then arrive. As the gang welcomes him back, TK says that he proved that he can take care of himself. While the gang looks at the dolls that TK retrieved from Puppetmon, they don't notice as Matt and Gabumon walk away. Back in Puppetmon's house, the Dark Master finds what TK did to his stuff and vows to make him pay.
