Recap

As Grumblemon heads to the Forest Terminal to get back his Beast Spirit, the gang finally arrives there. To their dismay, there are no Trailmon to pick them up. JP then sees a restaurant, so they go in. The digimon there gives them free food, but it tastes terrible. They decide to continue along the trail and eventually come to steps indented into tree limbs. There is a fork in the steps, but Tommy's D-Tector tells them the correct direction. They then come to a dead end, but JP's D-Tector reveals more steps. A fog prevents them from seeing, but Zoe's D-Tector clears it, revealing a large castle ahead of them.
The gang walks up to the gate of the castle, and Koji's D-Tector opens it. Takuya's D-Tector then opens the main doors. A Sorcermon appears and points his wand at them, but he apologizes when he learns that they aren't allies of Cherubimon. They explain that they were sent a message to go to the Forest Terminal. This interests Sorcermon, and he allows them to enter. Back at the restaurant, the digimon cook is wondering why his food is so bad. Suddenly Grumblemon, Ranamon, Arbormon, and Mercurymon appear. They know that the gang has gone to the Forest Terminal.
In the castle, Sorcermon leads the gang into a large room. Within a crystal on the ceiling is Seraphimon, who he explains to be one of the three celestial digimon chosen to rule the Digital World. The voice from the D-Tectors suddenly can be heard in the room, stating "Let your light shine as one." Sorcermon tells the gang that the voice belongs to Ophanimon, who asked him to watch over Seraphimon. He then reveals that a prophecy states that one day a group of wayward humans will free Seraphimon. The gang's D-Tectors emit beams of light, and when they shine them onto the crystal, Seraphimon is freed!
With little memory of what happened, Seraphimon asks Sorcermon to explain. He tells Seraphimon that when his defeat seemed imminent, Ophanimon sent him to safety and sealed him away from danger to later be revived. Unfortunately, Ophanimon's current location is unknown. The gang asks Seraphimon for answers, and he agrees to explain everything.
Long ago, human digimon and beast digimon were at war. The battles laid waste to the Digital World. However, Lucemon appeared and ended the war. He ruled in peace but was soon corrupted by his own power. The ten Legendary Warriors battled against Lucemon and defeated him. Cherubimon, Ophanimon, and Seraphimon were then chosen to protect the new peace. However, Cherubimon wanted to rule alone, so he attacked Seraphimon, but Ophanimon saved him and sealed him away to regain his strength.
Seraphimon decides to find Ophanimon and tells the gang to return to the Real World. They begin to protest, but the evil Legendary Warriors, minus Duskmon, arrive at the castle! All but Zoe Spirit Evolve and attack. However, they are no match against Grumblemon and his allies. Sorcermon attacks, but Mercurymon deflects it back at him. Mercurymon then goes to strike, but Seraphimon saves him. Grumblemon, Arbormon, and Ranamon are subdued by one blast from Seraphimon, who then orders the gang to return to their world because he can't protect them and fight the Legendary Warriors at the same time. Mercurymon takes advantage of Seraphimon's compassion and orders the others to attack the gang. Seraphimon fires a blast, but Mercurymon deflects it back, revealing Seraphimon's fractal code! He takes it, changing Seraphimon into a digi-egg!
Zoe grabs the egg, and Sorcermon states that Ophanimon may be able to restore Seraphimon. The evil Legendary Warriors prepare to take the egg by force, but Sorcermon activates a secret passage. Sorcermon then stays behind to keep the Legendary Warriors busy while the gang escapes in an underwater Trailmon. They soon realize that the fate of the Digital World now lies in their hands...
