Recap

The gang searches for the Toucanmon but to no avail. Meanwhile, the Toucanmon are upset that Ranamon turned into the ugly Calmaramon. No longer wanting to be in Ranamon's favor, they throw the D-Tectors out to the ocean! However, one of the Toucanmon suddenly flies out and catches them all before they hit the water. He then suggests that they sell the D-Tectors to other fans of Ranamon.
After JP ponders to the gang if Zoe's Beast Spirit will turn her into a monster like Calmaramon, making Zoe angry, the gang sees the Toucanmon flying above. They fly to a nearby island, so Zoe and Takuya run off to swim there. However, Gomamon suddenly appear to stop them. Elsewhere, Calmaramon is back at the Legendary Warriors' hideout, showing off her new Beast Spirit to Mercurymon. However, she is unable to control it and begins spinning uncontrollably.
Back at the island, the Gomamon explain to the gang that the ocean is very dangerous. There are whirlpools and dangerous cliffs around the island. The Gomamon then reveal that they used to live on the other island, but one day when they were out swimming, an earthquake created the whirlpools, cutting them off from their island. Bokomon guesses that it was caused by Cherubimon. The gang then decides to find a flying digimon to take them there. Feeling bad for them, Zoe convinces the Gomamon to come with them.
As Calmaramon reveals to Mercurymon that she has finally mastered her Beast Spirit, the gang builds a boat and sets sail. The whirlpools are worse than they thought, and Bokomon guesses that something at the bottom of the ocean is causing them. Ranamon then suddenly appears! Zoe Spirit Evolves and attacks. However, Ranamon retaliates with her Draining Rain attack, causing Zoe/Kazemon to collapse and fall into a whirpool!
As Zoe/Kazemon gets pulled to the bottom of the ocean, she reverts back to human form. To her surprise, she can breathe in the water. There is an area surrounded in glowing lights, and in the center is a clamshell. It then opens, revealing her Beast Spirit! Zoe then happily takes it.
Back on the surface, Ranamon decides to test out her Beast Spirit on the rest of the gang. However, she is distracted when the whirlpools disappear. Zoe then flies out of the water and Beast Spirit Evolves into Zephyrmon. Ranamon is upset that Zoe's Beast Spirit makes her beautiful. After Zoe/Zephyrmon insults her, Ranamon attacks. However, her attacks are useless, and she is easily subdued by Zoe/Zephyrmon, who seems to have control of her Beast Spirit. Ranamon then Beast Spirit Evolves and grabs Zoe/Zephyrmon with her tentacles, but as Calmaramon prepares to destroy her, the gang starts throwing insults. This distracts her, allowing Zoe/Zephyrmon to escape and attack. Angry, Calmaramon starts her Titanic Tempest, but once again she is unable to control it and spins away into the distance.
Later, the gang congratulates Zoe on her victory, and the Gomamon thank her. Koji then asks the Gomamon if they've seen the Toucanmon, and they reveal that the Toucanmon have left to go to the Autumn Leaf Fair, a trader's market on another continent...
