Recap

As the DarkTrailmon leaves the Digital World, Takuya suddenly turns into a human-digimon hybrid! The train then arrives back at the station that the gang originally departed from, and when Takuya asks why he is there, the DarkTrailmon leaves. Suddenly, from one of the tunnels, Duskmon emerges. Takuya manages to escape in the elevator, arriving back in the Real World in the train station elevator he originally left in with Koji. When people begin looking at him in disgust, he realizes that he has changed. He cries out in horror, and flames erupt from his mouth. He then jumps over the crowd and onto the top of a departing train.
Later, he leaves another train station and hides in a tree. However, he then sees Duskmon, causing him to run away in fear. He eventually comes to his home, but when as he draws closer, his mother accidentally hits him with her car. He isn't injured, but when he sees that his mother and sister are scared of him, he runs and hides in a tree. To his surprise, he sees his normal self sitting at the kitchen table in his house, and he realizes that he has somehow time-traveled back to the day of his departure.
Upset that he left the Real World in the first place, Takuya breaks down into tears. However, when his other self leaves to catch the train to the Digital World, he decides to change history to stop himself from ever going. Takuya repeatedly tells himself not to go, but his other self won't listen. Duskmon then reappears, but when a passing truck causes him to vanish, Takuya realizes Duskmon was never there.
His other self manages to catch the train, so Takuya rides on top of it. He then peers down through the window and sees Koji, as well as another boy that looks exactly like Koji!
When the train stops, the other Takuya gets off, and history repeats itself as he and Koji board the elevator. After seeing Koji's doppelganger get to the elevator too late and then take the stairs, Takuya forces open the elevator shaft and heads down. Meanwhile, Koji's double runs too fast down the steps, causing him to trip and fall, hitting the ground hard.
When the elevator reaches the station, Takuya prepares to stop his other self. However, he then has flashbacks about first going to the Digital World and his battle with Duskmon, causing him to decide not to stop his other self. He instead tells his other self to board the train, and after his double heads to the Digital World, Duskmon appears. Takuya, wanting to help his friends, tells him that he's not afraid anymore, and he punches Duskmon, who then vanishes, causing the Dark Terminal to appear. Takuya then boards DarkTrailmon, and as the train emerges back in the Digital World, he changes into Agunimon. After stepping back onto the Dark Continent, Takuya/Agunimon vows not to blow his second chance...
