The world's longest running science-fiction series first aired on British television screens in 1963, running an amazing 26 years until its end in 1989. The series has now returned to our screens, but here the good Doctor is at his very best. Battling evil Daleks, Killer Cybermen and the War-like Sontarans, the Time Lord picked up a few (ahem!) companions along the way, and influenced an entire generation of children with its influencial 'peace-not-war' message. A shame it had to end really...
Over its course the main character, The Doctor, was played by several actors, each time the Doctor "regenerated" after he died, he was born into a different body with a different personality.
