In a last-ditch effort to save her son and two hundred other children from the fatal ravages of a mysterious syndrome affecting humans born and raised on space stations, Devon Adair(Debrah Farentino, Malice, NYPD Blue) organizes a covert expedition to colonize an Earth-like planet, 22 light years away. Despite near-lethal bureaucratic opposition, Devon and her expedition take off and cross the galaxy only to crash-land on Planet G889 after their advance spaceship malfunctions. The survivors, virtually unarmed and without supplies, face a struggle for survival against dangers known and unknown as they begin an arduous 3,400-mile trek toward the one place on the planet that can sustain large-scale civilization.
