Episode Quotes
Brimmer: The name is Simon Brimmer. Surely you've heard of me, Officer 937.

Packer: I hope I get good reviews where I'm going. I'm just glad it isn't New Haven.

Brady: It says in the script there's a pregnant pause.
Brimmer: This is only a half hour show, Mr. Brady. We can't wait for the full term of the pregnancy.

Risky: (about Packer) If you're lookin' for his ghost, you're too late. He took the film rights with him.

Ellery: (about Veronica) I can see why she's a star. She's good.
Risky: Bein' good had nothin' to do with it.

Brimmer: Do you have anything to say, Mr. Ross?
Risky: Yeah, I'm gettin' pneumonia.

Inspector Queen: Why didn't you call the police when it happened?
Brimmer: Simplicity itself, Inspector. I was afraid you'd bungle it. And you did.

Inspector Queen: Take It Off is hardly O'Neill.
Layton: I'm painfully aware of that, Inspector.

Veronica: (to Ellery) You better hurry up and find my parrot. I feel naked without it.

Ellery: What did you do between 1937 and now?
Veronica: Starve.

Denny: That water hasn't run since Coolidge ran.

Ellery: Thanks, pop.
Denny: For what? I don't think either one of us did much.

Veronica: What are you waitin' for?
Brimmer: A lady, Miss Veil.

Inspector Queen: Congratulations, Brimmer, you've done it again.
Brimmer: Done what?
Inspector Queen: Accused the wrong man.

Brimmer: You do seem to have good fortune on your side, Queen.
