Noah Beery took time off from playing the father of detective Jim Rockford on The Rockford Files to play an actor portraying the father of detective Ellery Queen in this episode.
Barbara Rush should be familiar to fans of Seventh Heaven for her recurring role as Ruth Camden on that show.
Don DeFore had previously starred as George Baxter on Hazel.
James Sikking would go onto play Lt. Howard Hunter on Hill Street Blues.
Interestingly enough, Vincent Price and Ellery Queen co-star David Wayne both played villains on Batman. Romero played Egghead and Wayne played the Mad Hatter.
