1 :01x01 - Eye of Heaven (Jan/04/1998)
Emily was being raised by her father who encouraged her to follow her dreams but suddenly he dies. He leaves Emily to be left with all her relatives who have to choose who gets her, none of them wanting her.
She hides under a table as they draw who'll raise her. Aunt Elizabeth has been choosen, so Emily will be living with Aunt Laura at New Moon.

Emily arrives in New Moon, still emotional over the loss of her father. Unhappy, she sneaks out and heads to the train station where she meets Charles Dickens who shows her that in living in New Moon, she will have enough plots to last a writer's lifetime.

Emily gets horrified when Aunt Elizabeth tells her she is to go to school. Cousin Jimmy tortured by the kids of school gets memories of it in disturbing flashbacks. He starts thinking it's happening again and falsely accuses Emily having pushed him down a well.

4 :01x04 - The Disappointed House (Jan/25/1998)
Emily starts having puppy love for one of the boys at school...to be exact..the good-looking Teddy Kent. He follows her to disappionted house and kisses her. Time goes backwards and Emily sees the tragic events of two unrequited lovers. It's too much for disappointed house to take and it falls apart, leaving Teddy and Emily engulfed inside.

5 :01x05 - Paradise Lost (Feb/01/1998)
Ilse and Emily have convinced themselves that John Sullivan, an old hermit-like man is satan in disguise. They sneak onto his propery daringly; For which Emily eats an apple and clever old John tells her it's poisoned and she'll soon enough die. All she had was stomach cramps...but that made Emily truely believe she was dying. It all sparks up an old rivalry of John and Murray..of which John chopped down glorious trees from Murray's own territory.

Maida Fylnn befriended by Ilse and Emily, the girl from the wrong side of the tracks. They find out she is homeless, in poverty, and now pregnant, they hide Maida in disappointed house. Maida's pain come too soon when the girls find themselves delivering a baby. They're all stunned to find out that the father is Emily's cousin, Oliver Murray. Maida, knowing she can't support the baby abandons it at the church. Leaving Emily trying to do everything in her power to adopt the baby.

8 :01x08 - The Tale of Duncan McHugh (Mar/22/1998)
Alma McHugh, poor and stressed, pays barely to no attention to her young misunderstood son, Duncan. When Emily sees poor Duncan crying at a public hanging she thinks it to be his father. Her tries to becoming his friend get Elizabeth hasty. A fight between Alma and Elizabeth brings out to Emily that little Duncan suffers for everyones sins.
 
9 :01x09 - The Wild Rover (Mar/29/1998)
Miss Brownell, the crabby teacher, in a weird twist of events has fallen for the school inspector, Mr. Plover. She left her position as Emily's teacher to marry him. Which gives Emily her mentor, a young Mr. Carpenter. But, one day at school he shows up drunk, making Emily determined to get him fired.

10 :01x10 - The Ghost of Whyther Grange (Apr/05/1998)
Emily is visited by her great-aunts, Caroline and Nancy. Easedropping on a conversation, Emily finds out Beatrice Burnley ran away with her cousin. Weary, Emily gets up and takes a walk outside, only to be caught in a bear trap. Apriest nearby hears her cries and come to the rescue.

Isle cares for Emily who is sick in the cold forest. Which in Emily's delusion she finds out the sad truth of what happened to Isle's mother.
