Summer Time is here. At Rens Junior High Graduation, Louis starts of his summer with a bang. When a salesman offers the Stevens a vaction, they all accept except Louis.

When the Stevens arive at the island, Louis accedintaly destroys a royal home. They are then shunned by the islanders and are forced to survive on the island by there own.

Something comes over Louis, and he ends up kissing Tawny. Confused about the whole thing, he goes to Twitty, who assures Louis that it's an official kiss because of it's length (1 Mississippi second). Twitty goes to Tawny's school play rehearsal, where she tells Twitty to tell Louis to meet her at his locker tomorrow. When he does, they decide to become a couple. All is well until Louis learns that Tawny will have to kiss Zack in the school play! Although he assures Tawny that it won't bother him, but will he let his jealousy get the best of him?

During an afternoon of "Foam-Hunk Diving," Twitty instantly develops a crush on a girl. After some encouragement, he talks to her, and learns she has had a crush on him all year. They become boyfriend and girlfriend instantly and start spending more time together than Twitty spends with bestfriend Louis which is when Louis starts missing Twitty.

Louis is picked on by a new bully in shop class, and gets locked in a hutch (hence his nickname "Hutch boy"). Tom uses his impressive karate skills to come to Louis's rescue, which impresses Louis, who wants to learn karate like Tom.

Ruby accidentally dyes Ren's hair blond, which Ren at first is upset with. However she soon adapts to her new hair, but then gives the blonds a bad reputation.

Louis starts a "Lumberjack Club" which is threatened to be shut down unless the club (consisting of himself, Tom, Tawny, and Twitty) pays $250 for the money they have already spent on the group, or does a presentation on what lumberjacks do. The group decides on doing the presentation.

Larry and Ren are competing to be Mr. Wexler's assistant, but Ren quits when she realizes he makes her do everything that is his own responsibility. Larry is given the job, and Ren takes the position of Coach Tugnut's assistant.

Donnie enters Beans into a contest so he can get the 10,000 ticket reward he needs to buy a large teddy bear, but Beans ends up keeping the tickets for himself.

Louis inadvertantly curses the seas to lay still when he goes to the beach to surf. Twitty starts to hang with his beach friends instead of Louis, due to this. Twitty goes out to sea and waits for his friends to join him, when a huge wave comes up from behind him, leaving Louis to be the only one to save him.

Ren's friends leave after finding some guys, when Ren meets a seemingly great guy herself. However, she soon discovers that he appears to be a merman. But mermen don't exist... do they?
