Tawny becomes disgusted with the two, and points out to them all Tom does for the school, and that their friend wasn't him, but the pizza oven. Ren has some competition for Bobby Deaver's affection. On a hiking trip, Steve splits the gang up into three partnerships: Ruby and Nelson, Bobby and Mandy, and himself and Ren. Ren becomes annoyed with this, and soon storms off, getting lost on the trail, which leads to her father to realize that his little girl has grown up.
Eileen hires a professional to help her family appear presentable on a live news report. Louis ruins the interview, when he begins to run wild. Louis, in an attempt to change his image to make his mother proud, enters the science fair.
Louis's plan to use a new and large friend, Lenny, to make the eighth grade afraid of him backfires when he learns his new bodyguard is more sensitive than he appears. When Louis reads Lenny's poem he was going to read on the school news, he becomes more sensitive to his new friend. However, this drastically affects Ren's campaign to get dodgeball out of the curriculum.
In a special Halloween episode, Ren develops a plan to turn the whole student body into perfect students like herself. With Tugnut and Wexler on her side, will Ren be able to transform the student body into a group of perfect students? Will Louis be able to escape Ren's crazy plan?
The girls are asking the boys out to the Sadie Hawkins dance this time around, and Louis doesn't seem to be getting any offers (possibly because all the girls think that Tawny will ask him). Twitty, on the other hand, has a whole Wheel of Dates to choose from. Ren ends up asking guys at the last minute, but, unable to get anybody to go with her, ends up going with the pig that was delivered to the school.

Confused about the whole thing, he goes to Twitty, who assures Louis that it's an official kiss because of it's length (1 Mississippi second). Twitty goes to Tawny's school play rehearsal, where she tells Twitty to tell Louis to meet her at his locker tomorrow. When he does, they decide to become a couple. All is well until Louis learns that Tawny will have to kiss Zack in the school play! Although he assures Tawny that it won't bother him, but will he let his jealousy get the best of him?
Louis really wants a new set of drums, but his parents won't give him the money for it, Louis runs a garage sale. While gathering the items around the house that he can sell, Mr. Pookie, Ren's favorite stuffed animal, gets into the box for the items for sale and gets sold.
During an afternoon of "Foam-Hunk Diving," Twitty instantly develops a crush on a girl. After some encouragement, he talks to her, and learns she has had a crush on him all year. They become boyfriend and girlfriend instantly and start spending more time together than Twitty spends with bestfriend Louis which is when Louis starts missing Twitty.
Ren wants a job with Ruby at at a toast-serving restaurant in the mall, "Your Toast", she refers Ren to her boss. Ren gets her friend fired after her boss assumes that Ruby was the one who broke one of the "Ten Commandments of Toast", nibbling on toast.
Tom Gribalsky films a rock documentary on the Twitty-Stevens Connection, chronicling some of the band's history and when they perform a gig on the roof. However, not everybody is in favor of the roof-top concert, and the band becomes in danger of breaking up.

While Ren finds a nice boy from this school, Louis discovers he has an evil twin, and is getting blamed for his twin's doing. Louis believes the upcoming school dance to be his twin's next target.
Louis is picked on by a new bully in shop class, and gets locked in a hutch (hence his nickname "Hutch boy"). Tom uses his impressive karate skills to come to Louis's rescue, which impresses Louis, who wants to learn karate like Tom.
Ruby accidentally dyes Ren's hair blond, which Ren at first is upset with. However she soon adapts to her new hair, but then gives the blonds a bad reputation.
Ren, Eileen, and Principal Wexler get worked up for the arrival of Barry Hudson, who is sponsoring a new performing arts school. Tawny auditions to get in this school, and Louis, upon seeing her audition, realizes she is a shoo-in for a spot. He then auditions for the school, so he also auditions alongside Twitty to get in.

As Steve drives Twitty, Louis, and Ren to school, he announces he will be helping at the school as a volunteer, while Twitty and his girlfriend Allison break up over the phone. Louis, however, doesn't know what to do when Allison starts to show interest in him...

Beans interrupts a demonstration of "ceiling boots" with a surprise; his cousin, who turns out to be an attractive girl. This causes Twitty, Louis, and Tom all to want to meet her, but Beans will only allow one of them to meet her.
Donnie is at home after suffering an ankle injury from a touchdown dance, but Ren discovers that he might not need as much time off as he is taking off.
In a desperate attempt to get out of an algebra exam, Louis creates an elaborate plan to trick Wexler into thinking that it's really snowing in California.
Meanwhile, Ren has one week to learn how to pole vault or else the school loses the championships. But will she get inspiration before it's too late?
Louis turns the Stevens house into a Bed & Breakfast while everybody else is away in order to fund a ski trip that he, Tawny, Twitty, and Tom would all be going on. It almost looks like he will get away with it, until Ren decides to come home from Ruby's house and finds a stranger sleeping in her bed.
Louis and Twitty form a plan to get Wexler out of his principal job and get the easy-going vice principal in, but their plan ends up backfiring, forcing Louis and Ren to team up and get Wexler back in his office.

Louis inadvertantly curses the seas to lay still when he goes to the beach to surf. Twitty starts to hang with his beach friends instead of Louis, due to this. Twitty goes out to sea and waits for his friends to join him, when a huge wave comes up from behind him, leaving Louis to be the only one to save him.
Ren's friends leave after finding some guys, when Ren meets a seemingly great guy herself. However, she soon discovers that he appears to be a merman. But mermen don't exist... do they?
Ren stumbles across a briefcase full of money after a boomerang Louis threw at them flies into a bush. Taking it home, the Stevens family discovers that there is $4,412 in the briefcase. After a discussion, they decide Ren should take the case back, being the most trusted in the family... however, people start to grow curious when Tawny notices Ren's new $4,000 pants...
As the Stevens prepare to move to Washington they all have a few things to take care of before they take off. Louis makes a video expressing his true feelings for his friend Tawny and has it sent to her.
