Episode Quotes
Ichabod: And what, pray tell, was I doing in your dream?
Abbie: Freaking me out even more than usual.

Jenny Mills: Who are you? Abbie's new boyfriend?
Ichabod: We are amicable, and yes, I am male, but I suspect you're implying something else.
Jenny Mills: What's your name, tall, dark, and British?
Ichabod: My name is Ichabod Crane.
Jenny Mills: Huh. What do your friends call you? Icky?
Ichabod: Not if they wish to remain my friends.
Jenny Mills: Hmm. Sense of humor, too.

Ichabod: What is the cause of the rift between you and Miss Jenny?
Abbie: I told you, it's complicated.
Ichabod: I was born more than two centuries ago, and my wife is prisoner in some otherworldly realm. I'm no stranger to complications.

Ichabod: I requested coffee from the charwoman in the entrance hall, but she said you're particular to this beverage.
Abbie: She's called a receptionist. Or Wendy.

Seamus Duncan: I don't know where you came from, but you can drop your "friend of the tribe" schtick. No one's a chief, no one lives in teepees, and no one has powwows. Got it?
Ichabod: You stopped having powwows? I rather enjoyed those.

Cultural References
Irving: The last thing we need around here is another episode of The Twilight Zone.

The Twilight Zone is a 60s TV series featuring tales of fantasy, horror, and science fiction, often accompanied by a "twist" ending.

Seamus Duncan: You guys into time travel? I got a tricked-out DeLorean in mint condition.

Marty McFly is the main character in the three Back to the Future movies, a teenager who uses a time-traveling DeLorean to visit the past and future and alter his own history.

Seamus Duncan: You want me to go all kemosabe and cast a spell and do a rain dance?

"Kemosabe" is the fictional term that Tonto uses to address the Lone Ranger in the radio and TV shows, and various movies. It means "faithful friend."
