Description:
As Bernadette Peters (The Jerk, Pennies From Heaven) and Christopher Reeve (Superman) find out in this witty take on the classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, sometimes waiting for your prince to come is so exhausting you have to take a nap.

Miffed that she wasn't invited to the christening, an evil fairy named Henbane (National Lampoon's Vacation's Beverly D'Angelo) rigs it so that the Princess (Peters) falls into a deep sleep when she pricks her finger on a spinning wheel.

A century later, after a series of bad dates, the Prince (Reeve) hears about this Sleeping Beauty and has a hunch this might be the girl for him.

But he's got to battle some pretty heavy obstacles like a fire breathing dragon before he finds out for sure.
