Naota's just an average boy who expects little from life. So imagine his surprise when he's run over by an alien woman on her vespa and hit over the head with her guitar, causing robots to come out of his head and mass chaos in general.

Episode Notes

Gainax likes to name their animals twice, that is have the same named repeated. There was PenPen in Evangelion, PeroPero in KareKano and now MiyuMiyu.

The P! logo on Haruka's vespa actually stands for The Pillows, the people who did the majority of the music for FLCL.

Several anime are referenced in this episode, mostly while Kamon is talking to Naota about robots. Doraemon's Nobi family is mentioned, Initial D is mentioned and the book Naota mentions he wrote is a reference to Evangelion.
