Lindsay quits the academic mathlete team and begins hanging around with a new crowd. She also tries to stop the teasing of a mentally challenged student. Sam ponders asking cheerleader Cindy Sanders to the homecoming dance while trying to handle a bully teasing him.
While the parents are away, Lindsey decides to hold a kegger at her home. Sam gets his friends to help him switch the keg to a non-alcoholic beer.
Halloween finds Sam going trick-or-treating while Lindsay and her friends go around the neighborhood causing trouble. Jean is disappointed that Lindsay no longer gets excited over the holiday.
Lindsay helps tutor Daniel for a test. Sam and his friends feel confused over their sex education class and watch a porno film to "learn the facts."
After Nick's father threatens him that he will be enlisting in the Army if he doesn't maintain a C average, Lindsay suggests he try out for a well known band looking for a drummer. Sam feels mortified after finding out he will have to shower after gym class.

Lindsay wants to break up with Nick because of his constant pot smoking. Sam tries out as the replacement for the injured school mascot to get closer to Cindy.

Lindsay is distraught after she and her friends steal her families car and then have an accident. She rejoins the mathletes at the expense of a friend. Sam wants to change his image with a new hairstyle and cool clothes.
Sam finds out that Neal's father is having an affair. Ken falls for a tuba player in the school band.

Nick moves in with the Weirs after his father sells his drum set. Sam gets invited to a make out party and Neal thinks he knows how to spin the bottle to land where he aims it.
Lindsay uses her opportunity to ask Vice President George Bush a question as revenge for banning Mr. Rosso from attending. Sam breaks up with Cindy after finding out her true personality.

Sam has a new bully to worry about, and this ones a female. Kim invites Lindsay to dinner to prove to her mom that her friends are smart and nice.
Lindsay tries to convince her dad to let her attend the Who's concert. Bill's mother shocks him with the news she is dating Mr. Fredricks, which causes him to rebel in gym class. Kim feels horrible after running over Millie's dog.
The Weirs attend the Sweibers' annual dinner party where Neal rebels against his father and turns his attention to ventriloquism. Kim breaks up with Daniel, who tries to become a punk rocker.
