Gilmore Girls: Forgiveness and Stuff

Lorelai and Rory's relationship is still a little rocky from the night of the dance, as is Emily and Lorelai's relationship, causing Rory to go to the elder Gilmore's Christmas party alone. While Rory is at dinner, Dean and Lorelai are able to work things out, and Lorelai ends up spending her evening with Luke who makes her a festive "Santa Burger". However, their evening is cut short when Lorelai gets a frantic call from Rory that Richard collapsed. With emotions running high, Lorelai finds it hard to visit her father and leans on Luke for support. Later, Rory and Lorelai reconcile their differences when they see just how valuable life is.

Episode Quotes
Emily: So what is exactly going on between the two of you.
Luke: Nothing. Really. We’re friends, that’s it.
Emily: You’re idiots, the both of you.

Lorelai's answering machine recording: We're not here right now, speak if you must.

Dean: We were reading a book and then we fell asleep.
Lorelai: Pick a more interesting book next time.

Rory: I think you're acting a little immature.
Lorelai: I'm not acting!

Lorelai: Geez! Are you okay?
Luke: Yeah, I'm just not real big on hospitals. You know, the smell, people being wheeled by, tubes sticking out of 'em, you know drainage, fluids, gaping holes -
Lorelai: Okay, listen why don't you go home?
Luke: You want me to go?
Lorelai: You don't look so good.
Luke: Thanks.
Lorelai: That's not what I meant, you know you always look good.
Luke: Yeah?
Lorelai: I meant you always look healthy...
Luke: Okay.
Lorelai: But you don't look so healthy now. Now you look -
Luke: Unhealthy.
Lorelai: Yes.
Luke: Okay.
Lorelai: Oh what? So I said you look good. We're not in 5th grade! 'You look good', big deal...stop sneering at me.
(patient passes by)
Luke: Oh geez.
Lorelai: See, that's what you get for being cocky.

Luke: Thanks for the hat.
Lorelai: Your welcome. It looks good on you.
Luke: Good how?
Lorelai: Just watch the procession.

Lorelai: Rory, there are only two things that I trust in this entire world. The fact that I will never be able to understand what Charo is saying no matter how long she lives in this country, and you.
Rory: Hopefully not in that order.

Dean: So am I like public enemy number one with you?
Lorelai: Number one? I don't know - would you settle for top five? Because I'm still a little hot for that crazy bomber guy who's been living in a cave for a year.

Lorelai: Are you kidding? It's like the North Pole out there.
Luke: Hey, this sign isn't just a decoration.
Lorelai: Honey, nothing in here is a decoration.

Emily: What? You'll do what? I'd like to hear in your most condescending tone what my punishment will be for not filling out these forms in a timely manner. Are there bamboo shoots involved? Some sort of dark, deep hole in the ground? Rats nibbling at my toes.

Episode Goofs
When Lorelai gets the message from Rory, Luke is standing with his order pad in the front of his jeans. But when the shot returns to him, the pad is no longer in his pants.

During the scene where Lorelai says that she has to get to the hospital, her purse constantly changes from being in her hand to being on her shoulder.

When Lorelai goes throught the doors to find out about Richard she is wearing her blue coat. When she comes back through the doors, she no longer has her coat on and is empty handed. However, when she sits down, her coat and purse are next to the chair without her putting them there.
