Kate arrives in Vancouver to start her job as new manager of Godiva's Restaurant. Meanwhile, Godiva's head chef dies, leaving Ramir, the sous chef, to take over. A power struggle rages between the two as Kate tries to replace Ramir, and he tries to send Kate back to Toronto.

After some bad luck, the cooks and Victor become convinced that the kitchen is haunted by the ghost of Corvino. Stick tries to protect TJ from getting caught dealin E and is busted by the cops. TJ meets a girl.

Ramir finds himself in an awkward situation with Jenna, whose feelings are stronger than his. Daisy discovers the not-so-sweet history of sugar and vows never to use it again.
