Godzilla: The Series

Godzilla: The Series

Acting as a sequel to the film, Godzilla: The Series continues the adventures of the giant lizard in New York. The show used an animation style similar to Men in Black: The Series and follows a research team known as H.E.A.T. or Humanitarian Environmental Analysis Team. The team is led by Dr. Nick Tatopoulos and other characters from the film. The series also introduces Monique Dupre, a French secret agent and Randy Hernandez, a proclaimed computer hacking.

H.E.A.T. travels around the world to investigate, and at times fight, giant creatures that appear due to the actions shown in the film. As seen in the movie, Godzilla is the only hatchling to have survived the film's events and is "connected" to Dr. Tatopoulos. When in he or his team are in need, Godzilla arrives to even the battlefield against the beasts. Godzilla: The Series originally aired on Fox Kids' Saturday morning line-up, but due to the ratings battle between Pokémon and Digimon was moved to accommodate the aforementioned rivalry.
