Gary is temporarily out of work, but is pretending to Yvonne that he is employed by Ron as a Sales Representative.

Yvonne joins the local Repertory Society and gets the lead in their new play. Gary is jealous of the leading man, Lance, but the only part that Gary can get is that of Police Inspector in the middle of the second act.

Back in 1941 he is much more successful. He enters a talent competition and wins it with his rendition of 'All The Way" . He discovers that 78 rpm records are highly collectable in 1994, and begins to see the beginnings of a new career dealing in wartime memorabilia.
