Phoebe receives a letter from the Brewery telling her that they are terminating her lease and giving it to a local man instead. Gary is furious, especially when the representative from the Brewery arrives at the Royal Oak and tells Phoebe that he will renew her licence if she sleeps with him.
Meanwhile, in 1994 a workmate of Yvonne's is being sexually harrassed by a male colleague. Yvonne suggests that they wire her up for sound in order to get evidence. Gary finds this suggestion extremely handy for Phoebe and is able to deal with the man from the Brewery.
Ducketts Passage is full of workmen who are redeveloping the area, and closing off Gary's entrance to 1941 for good with a new block of shops.
