7 :02x01 - Coup De Grace (Jan/31/1989)
Richard Hannay meets Sybil Verney, a beautiful woman who, like Hannay, is of South African origin. Richard Hannay soon falls under her spell but Sybil Verney has a secret. Some letters she has indiscreetly written have fallen into the wrong hands, and she is being blackmailed by Sir Marcus Leonard, a ruthless businessman.

Richard Hannay offers to get the letters for Sybil, but in order to do so must take some lessons in safe-breaking . He is an apt pupil and manages to break into Sir Marcus's safe. Unfortunately, he is caught by Sir Marcus who convinces Hannay that Sybil is a liar and a cheat. Who is telling the truth?
