Hercules the Legendary Journeys takes place in ancient Greece. It is the story of Hercules as he travels the country doing good and saving people from various monsters and warlords. Hercules is the constant reminder of Zeus' infidelity so Hera hates him and is constantly trying to kill him or convince others too. Hercules travels Greece with his best friend Iolaus.

The show ran for six seasons, producing action figures, spin-offs (Xena: Warrior Princess, and Young Hercules), and other memorabilia (such as action figures), and became one of the highest rated syndicated shows in television history.
