Sonny (Claude Akins) proves he's a likeable singer when he performs at a trucker's convention stag night and has visions of stardom. A conniving talent agent (Vera Miles) convinces Sonny that he has the makings of a country-music superstar.

2x9: The Big Wheel recap: An exciting stock car race highlights the episode. Will and Sonny are carrying stock cars to a man who races a fleet of them, at the Charlotte, N. C. speedway, but the guy cons them into driving for him in the big race, to earn the money he can't pay them for the load. The plot thickens when our heroes hook up with a has-been driver (guest star Rory Calhoun) and invoke the wrath of the dastardly villain for whom they're supposed to be racing.
