Sonny and Will are captured by two escaped convicts. When Will takes a shortcut despite Sonny's protests, he discovers a bullet-ridden auto and stops at a remote garage to report it. He is greeted by a gun-carrying convict (guest Aldo Ray), his trigger-happy buddy (James Keach), and the con's thrill-seeking girlfriend (Marilyn Hassett), who takes a liking to Will-an event that puts both the drivers' lives in jeopardy.
