Illich was known as Carlos the Jackal but he had other less known aliases such as Bernard Muller.

Carlos continued his terrorist attacks well into the 80's. He even started his own group called Organization of the Armed Arab Struggle. However, Carlos unlike other terrorist was more interested in making and stealing than actually using terrorism for a cause.

Lllich was finally arrested in 1994 and last reports have him in French custody. However, the French seem to be unwilling to extradite Llich back to Austria to face the murder charges he did during the Opec spree.
