Recap

Widow Karen Martin (Jones-Moreland), terrified by threats against her life in phone calls and by mysterious voices heard through her daily life, asks Ironside (Burr) for help. Her sister-in-law (Shaw) indicates to Ironside she fears Karen may be losing her mind because she suspects her brother (Danton) of attempting to market an imperfectly tested drug. Episode Quotes
Ironside: Tell me, what's new and exciting?
Karen Martin: Such as?
Ironside: Well, when a very attractive and very wealthy young widow is asked that question, it usually means men. In this case it means exactly that.
Karen Martin: Your subtlety dazzles me.
Ironside: Subtlety closes on Monday.
Karen Martin: No, no. That was, ah, satire closes Monday.
Ironside: Don't evade the issue. Who're you dating?
Karen Martin: Oh, well, you're the last person I'd tell. You'd run a security check on him.

Ironside: When I was a rookie, one of the old pros in the bunco squad gave me a piece of advice. He said that every crime is like an accountant's balance sheet. One side is gain, the other side loss. You always look closest at those who stood to profit the most from the crime.
