Episode Quotes |

Emilia: According to this, there’s a super cannon on the island.
Jack: So I’ve been told.
Emilia: It’s long, wide. Its balls are enormous.
Jack: (Chuckles.) Guilty as charged. Super-cannon Stiles they call me. | Jack: She’s everything you wish you were – a crack shot.
Emilia: A crack pot.
Jack: A master sleuth.
Emilia: Foul and uncouth… completely crass.
Jack: Yeah, but a great piece of… | Jack: Oh, have pity on the girl, will ya? Once you go Jack, you never go back. | Capt. Brogard: I must know who you are.
The Daring Dragoon: I’m the itch you can’t scratch. The gas you can’t pass. | (To Emilia.)
Kentucky Sue: Ya know, for a snooty, stuck-up, prissy, Brit fancy pants, you’re alright. |

Kentucky Sue: That Boston Tea Party was a might fine idea of yours.
Jack: Well, I always preferred coffee anyway.
The Boston Tea Party was a colonial protest against the taxes being levied by the British on December 16, 1773. Here it was the tax on tea. American colonists, dressed as Native Americans, stormed ships in the Boston Harbor and dumped the tea overboard. It was one of the events that helped spark the American Revolution. Assuming Jack is in his 40's, he would have been in his teens at the time of the Boston Tea Party. | (Throws a French soldier head first in a vat of water.)
Jack: Good to the last drop.
Good to the last drop is the slogan for Maxwell House coffee since 1907. It was actually coined by Theodore Roosevelt when he was President. He was visiting a county fair in Nashville TN and passed by a Maxwell House booth and finished a cup in one gulp. The President then turned to the crowd and said it was, "Good to the last drop". The phrase was immediately used by Maxwell House and it is still used today. |
