After Price discovers Joan holding an empty egg carton near his freshly egged car, he wrongly assumes she's the culprit and punishes her with a weekend of community service. Without more direction from God than to rise above the injustice, Joan tries to figure out if she's meant to help a bitter former nun, Lilly, who is overseeing the service project, or one of the social outcasts who are serving as a result of their own offenses. Meanwhile, Joan's also upset that her reluctance to begin a sexual relationship with Adam is driving a wedge between them. In the meantime, Adam meets a troubled artist at the community center; Joan gets Luke a job at the bookstore; Kevin has another car accident.

Bonnie: I don't paint kittens...unless they're dead. | Joan: You got a prize...
Luke: Vampire teeth. One's broken. Story of my life. | Steinholz: You know nothing about science.
Luke: Hey! Hey! You are patronizing the wrong geek, Grandpa! | Steinholz: What are we anywhere? Compared to the universe, we're nothing. A speck, a moment of glory. The Arcadia College Award, what is that?
Luke: They also got dinner at Don Thornberry's.
Steinholz: Oh. Their rib-eye is amazing. | Kevin: You should look where you're going.
Lilly: Oh, just relax, you're crippled already.
Kevin: Nice... |

Lily: So if this is what it's come to, watching Stargate with a tinfoil antenna, then, no, I don't know where God is anymore.
Stargate SG-1 is a highly successful science fiction series which premiered on July 27, 1997. The series is a sequel of sorts to the 1994 blockbuster Stargate starring Kurt Russell and James Spader. It was originally broadcast on Showtime from 1997 until 2002 but since its sixth season, it has been shown on the Sci-Fi Channel. Now in its tenth and final season, it is the longest running American science fiction series ever and the second longest running in the world, behind only Doctor Who. Its success resulted in a spin-off series, Stargate Atlantis, being produced, which premiered in July 2004. A second film and third series are allegedly being considered. Its popularity continues to grow at a phenominal rate, surpassing even that of Star Trek in recent years. Several actors, including Michael Welch, Thomas Kopache and Christopher Cousins, who have appeared in Stargate SG-1 have also gone on to appear in Joan of Arcadia. |
