Emma has an admirer, a new boy in school named Jason. Unfortunately, she doesn't feel the same way about him, no matter how hard he tries, and trying he does. From bringing the family dinner of pizza, Chinese food, a Pastrami sandwich and a strawberry cheesecake, to making a pledge of his devotion over the school intercom and asking her for a date to the dance. But this only makes Emma embarrassed and furious with Jason.

Kate & Allie find a wallet on their walkway containing $5,000. Allie reluctantly agrees to split the money, until Chip discovers a credit card hidden inside the wallet. Having contacted the owner and receiving $500 as a reward, Kate makes a bet with Allie that she cannot spend the whole split of money on something frivolous for herself. Kate decides on a day at a beauty salon, but Allie has a bit of a challenge in her decision. Will she choose the work of art, the new dress or maybe a meal at an expensive restaurant?
