Julian Luna (Mark Frankel) was the central character in the vampire epic, Kindred:The Embraced. Dark, mysterious,immeasurably wealthy and powerful, Luna was the Prince of the San Fransisco Kindred clans. He had the unenviable task of keeping order among the clans and , at the same time, of dealing with his own chaotic affairs. Julian was complex in his nature, always gentle with those he cared for, but ruthless whenever anything came about that could disrupt the carefully balanced Masquerade. Julian's closest friend was Daedalus, the Primogen of the Nosferatu. He and Daedalus had an understanding of the workings of Kindred society, far better than the other Primogens, that tended to be more self-centered and grasping in their dealings. Julian's private life was as adventurous as could be expected from anyone in his position, human or vampire. He lost a great love in Kindred Alexandra Serris, but found another in human Caitlyn Burn, all the while, carrying on a torrid relationship with Lillie Langtry, Primogen of the Toreador clan. Julian's hands may have been full of Kindred squabbles,but he always found time for love.

Lillie Langtry was the Primogen of the Toreadore clan in Kindred:The Embraced. Lillie was a manipulative creature, not above deception and murder as a means to her ends. She carried on a torrid affair with Julian Luna, Prince of the San Fransisco Kindred, while also sleeping with Luna's chief rival for power, Eddie Fiori,Primogen of the Brujah clan. A great beauty, Lillie,also ran a nightclub (a social haven for the Kindred and a place that was allowed all Kindred to enter) and had a number of business interests in the music industry. Lillie became jealous of Julian's interest in journalist Caitlyn Byrne and made an attempt to cause her rival serious harm with poison.

Daedalus (Jeff Kober) was the leader or Primogen of the Nosferatu, most ancient of all the Kindred clans. Highly intelligent, educated in the arts of alchemy, cultured, Daedalus often spent time painting and reading in his home in the caverns below Kindred Price Julian Luna's mansion. Intense in his loyalty to Luna, Daedalus often acted as the Luna's enforcer and protector. Daedalus was a lonely creature,longing for love that he felt would always be denied him because of his physical appearance. He was sympathetic toward many humans, but could be as ruthless as any Kindred when the situation called for it. Daedalus was perhaps the most enigmatic of all the Kindred characters, complex in emotional make-up, but always true in the end to the Kindred standard.

Archon Raine (of the Venture clan) is the former Kindred Prince of , San Fransisco, and the sire of the present Prince, Julian Luna. Archon kept the peace between the Kindred clans in San Fransisco for a over a century, but by much more brutal means than are now used by Julian. Archon stepped down from his position after he sent Julian (then his chief enforcer) to wipe out a Kindred clan in the Napa Valley and realized that he did it for personal reasons and not for the good of the Masquerade. He now serves Julian as advisor and mentor.

Cash was the Primogen of the Gangrels,t he outcast clan, of the Kindred. He became Primogen after Stevie Ray,the former Primogen was murdered (at least , in Julian's eyes). Young,i mpulsive, and with a rebel attitude, Cash was the ideal leader for the Gangrels. Cash was enforcer and bodyguard for San Fransisco Kindred Prince Julian Luna. He was also involved in a romance (Romeo-Juliet style) with Julian's ward (and great-great-grandaughter) Sasha. The two met while she was still human and began a relationship that continued after she was forced to become Kindred by a Brujah embrace. Since Kindred clan members are never supposed to mix with other clans, this complicated the already complicated duo of Cash and Sasha.

Alexandra Serris (Venture clan) was a 150 year old Kindred who was the the lover of human detective Frank Kohanek and the former lover of San Fransisco Kindred Prince Julian Luna. Alexandra was very passionate in nature and very kind. She had a true and great love for Frank Kohanek and a desire to live as a normal human being again. To protect Frank from the wrath of Julian Luna, she extracted a promise from Julian that he would extend to Frank his personal protection. Alexandra revealed herself to Frank as a Kindred and forced Julian to declare a blood hunt for her.

Caitlin Byrne was the human lover of Kindred Prince Julian Luna. A journalist, Caitlin became so interested in Julian's business dealings that he bought the newspaper where she worked so he could control the flow of information she was generating. Lillie Langtry became very jealous of Caitlin and tried to poison her. Julian revealed himself to Caitlin as a Kindred, but later erased her memory of the revelation to protect her.

Eddie Fiori was the Primogen of the Brujah clan. Fiori was Kindred Prince Julian Luna's chief rival for power. A brutal creature with no care but for himself and his clan, Fiori was not above any type of violence to achieve his goals. Fiori was in league with Lillie Lanrgtry in a number of plots to cause problems for Julian Luna. He was also a lover of Lillie Langtry. It was through all of Fiori's evil deeds that the San Fransisco Kindred clans almost came again to the brink of war after a century of peace.

Sonny Toussaint was the partner of Detective Frank Kohanek on the series, Kindred:The Embraced. Unknown to Kohanek, Toussaint was also Kindred. He was sired by Kindred Prince Julian Luna and was a member of the Venture clan. It was Toussaint 's job to keep an eye on Frank and to make sure that he did not get too close to the truth about the Kindred.

Detective Frank Kohanek was the human nemesis of Kindred Prince Julian Luna. He was brash and had little regard for authority. Kohanek was also the human lover of Kindred Alexandra Serris. He eventually arrived at an armed truce with Julian after the death of Alexandra.
