| Show Slang | Blood hunt: The term "blood hunt" as used in the series Kindred:The Embraced ,meant that the Kindred Prince of a regional area ,had given the order ,that a member of one of the Kindred clans under his charge ,was to be hunted down and killed. The order was only given under dire circumstances and all members of the clans were to be ready to kill the hunted one. | Embraced: "Embraced" was the definition given to the process by which a human was changed into a vampire on the series, Kindred:The Embraced. The embrace could only be given if desired by the human. To give the embrace without the permission of the human, could result in the Kindred clan member doing so, being punished with physical destruction. | Final death: The words "final death",in terminology ,of the series Kindred:The Embraced ,were used to mean the destruction of the physical body of a Kindred clan member. | Kindred: The term "Kindred", as defined by use in the the series, Kindred:The Embraced, made reference to the cultural name that the vampires, in their underground society, used to define themselves. | Phosphorus Gun: A Phosphorus gun , as defined by the terminology used in Kindred: The Embraced, was a weapon that was used to kill Kindred (vampires) instantly. This weapon was used by humans and Kindred, alike, for the stated purpose. | The Masquerade: The Masquerade was the name in the series, Kindred:The Embraced, given to a set of ancient laws that governed the Kindred clans. The purpose of of these strict protocols, was to protect the Kindred from detection by the human population. The most important of these laws stated that no Kindred could ever reveal themselves to a human and that no Kindred must ever embrace (change a human into a vampire) against the human's will. Violation of these regulations could result in the Kindred clan member being hunted down and destroyed. The Masquerade also made it forbidden to embrace children or to interfere with the destiny of a human by any type of supernatural means. |
