Episode Quotes |
| |
Carl: (opening narration) I knew this one was more than just the biggest story of my life. It was the biggest story in the lives of everyone on the planet. I fought for the story, fought harder than ever before because I knew it was more than news, much more. I felt people should know about it so they could be prepared when it happened again, if it's possible to be prepared for something like this. | Carl: What happened? It's all a point of view, really. A traveler has a breakdown, stops to fix it, gets a road map, has a bite to eat and goes on his way - it's happened to all of us. This traveler happened to be light-years off his course, instead of miles. |

The stars look very different today...
In the planetarium, when the projector swings the stars behind it are stationary. They should be moving with the projector's movement - that's the whole reason it moves! | That’s one powerful magnetic field!
It is established that the date is September 2 when Carl visits Raydyne Electronics, where his watch is stopped by a powerful magnetic field. Yet when he examines the instrument, the date reads "31." |

Analysis |

Plop-plop, fizz-fizz
Weinstock’s theory that someone ate the animals’ bone marrow and then threw up doesn’t hold much water. Human digestive juice contains (among other things) fairly concentrated hydrochloric acid, but it does not contain acetone and never has. This fact was known even way back in the seventies. |
