A new inspector, Kobick, the Giants come up with a way to track a particular Earth metal. The Spindrift crew initially manage to get rid of all of it... until they realize that Dan has a metal pin in his leg made of the stuff and they have no way to remove it. Their only hope is to seek out a Giant doctor who can do the miniaturized surgery, while staying ahead of Kobick and his men as they home in on the pin.
