Murders begin occurring in Laredo on the day a mysterious stranger named Shamus McCloud arrives in town. Is the stranger guilty or are the crimes the work of someone else?

The script of this episode was filmed earlier as an episode of Wagon Train entitled The Trace McCloud Story.
