After a five year absence, Johnny's boyhood pal Buck Harmon reappears in Laramie to scout the town for the bank robbing Gorman Gang. But he sides with Deputy McKay to fight the gang and loses his life in a shoot out.

Episode Notes

Executive producer William Orr offered Robert Fuller a contract with Warner Brothers after seeing Fuller's work in "The Friend" but Fuller declined -- having just signed a contract with UI/Revue. Fuller went on to star in Laramie.
