Episode Summary

With the overall director of Los Angeles International Airport committing suicide, his two underlings spar amongst themselves for his former position and title by attempting to prove they can handle the pressures of operating one of the world's largest and busiest aviation gateways.

Scenes of this show are filmed on an artificial set; as well as on-location at Los Angeles International, Ontario International and Dallas-Ft.Worth International airports.

LAX was once the 3rd busiest airport in the world, but after serving 54 982 838 passengers in 2003, it has since been relegated to 5th, behind Atlanta/Hartsfield-Jackson, Chicago/O'Hare, London/Heathrow and Tokyo/Haneda.

The advertisement shown about LAX would however be correct if it chose to state that LAX was the 3rd busiest airport in the USA, as opposed to in the world.

Episode Goofs

The pilot was filmed in Texas, which becomes very obvious when we first see Roger coming up the escalator. The big tower with the metal lattice-work ball on top is world-famous Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas. The broadcast tower right next to it says (in big red letters) WFAA which is the ABC affiliate in Dallas.
