Aunt Martha, played by Madge Kennedy (1)

Aunt Martha is June's aunt and appears in five episodes. She is a very proper, elderly maiden lady who lives nearby in Riverside. June spent summers with Aunt Martha as a girl and credits her with being a second mother. The boys call her their "Umbrella Aunt" because she once ave them umbrellas for their birthdays. In one episode, she buys Beaver a short pants suit and, when he wears it to school at her insistence, he becomes the butt of ridicule. In another episode, she wants Beaver to attend a fancy prep school but Beaver declines. In another episode, she drops in unexpectedly with a friend and forces the boys to cancel their plans to attend a carnival. Beaver was named Theodore after her brother and receives his heirloom ring.

Gus, the Fireman, played by Burt Mustin

Gus is an elderly fireman in charge of an auxiliary firehouse near the Cleaver house. Beaver drops in from time to time to chat with him. Gus is a good friend to Beaver and helps him cope with difficult situations by giving him sound advice.

Judy Hensler, played by Jeri Weil

Judy Hensler is Beaver's classroom nemesis. She is a snitchy, goodie-goodie and a show-off who courts the teacher's favor while doing her best to diminish or take advantage of Beaver. She appeared for several seasons and was replaced by Karen Sue Trent as Penny Woods, a similar goodie-goodie character.

Larry Mondello, played by Rusty Stevens

Larry is Beaver's chubby, not-very-bright classmate and best friend. He is famous for for his apple-eating, candy bar-munching habits and cadging food from the Cleavers. Larry has a knack for leading Beaver into trouble then dodging out and leaving Beaver to face the consequences. Larry and Beaver have an on-again/off-again relationship. The boys sometimes quarrel but make up when the clouds pass. They are in the same class together at Grant Avenue Grammar School and are forced to attend ballroom dance lessons at Miss Spencer's School of the Dance on Saturdays. Larry runs away from home in one episode — but only as far as Beaver's bathroom where he sleeps in the bath tub. In another episode, Larry throws his mother's pin money out the window, picks it up later, and claims the money fell from an airplane. Larry appeared in the first three seasons. Actor Stevens left the show when his family moved from the West to the East Coast. Stevens reprised his role of Larry Mondello in the 1983 reunion telemovie, Still the Beaver.

Miss Landers, played by Sue Randall

Miss Alice Landers is Beaver's teacher. She enters the series in the second season (replacing Diane Brewster as Miss Canfield, Beaver's first teacher) and remains through the penultimate season. Miss Landers is kind and understanding. Beaver develops a crush on her in one episode and invites her home for dinner. He is taken aback when she arrives in a pretty cocktail dress and a pair of open-toed pumps. He pouts when she marries Tom Brittingham in a later season episode.

Mrs. Mondello, played by Madge Blake

Margaret Mondello is a nervous, exasperated parent, whose husband is so perennially out-of-town on business, the phrase "If your father were home . . ." comes out of her mouth, at some point, in almost every episode in which she appears. Mrs. Mondello sometimes takes Larry to Beaver's father for discipline when Mr. Mondello is away. Larry's father makes one brief appearance, however; he is seen talking to Larry backstage in the second season episode, "School Play". Larry has older siblings, including a married brother and an unmarried sister who lives at home. In one episode, Mrs. Mondello catches Larry reading his sister's diary. Reports from various characters on the show indicate Larry's homelife is one of "hollering" and physical punishments.
