16 :02x07 - Making Little Britain Too (Dec/22/2004)
Presented by Joe Cornish (of Adam and Joe fame), Making Little Britain Too shows the hidden world of hilarious invention that went into the creation of all those extraordinary characters.

The programme features an on-set interview with David Walliams and Matt Lucas, in which they reveal more about the new characters in the second series, and how they were developed.

Viewers will have the chance to see Lucas transformed into the grotesquely overweight health spa resident Bubbles de Vere. There’s also a look at Judy and Maggie, the Women’s Institute duo with a nasty habit of throwing up – revealing the trickery used to make it look as though Walliams is really vomiting!

Old favourites including Emily Howard (and her new friend Florence) and Lou and Andy also come under the spotlight. Lucas reveals that he particularly enjoys playing wheelchair-bound Andy because he gets “to sit in a chair and eat crisps all day”.

And the programme follows the pair from the dressing room to the set as they film the sketches for the second series.

The Real Little Britain (Mar/18/2005)
'Britain, Britain, Britain' is put under the microscope in this revealing and amusing documentary.

Following the enormous success of the comedy series Little Britain, this documentary explores contemporary Britain; going in search of the ‘only gay in the village’, men who think they are ladies and outspoken teenagers. Matt Lucas and David Walliams provide the commentary as a set of Britons give us an insight into their worlds.

How does the local village church react when you tell them you’re gay? What is it about a 60-year-old woman that attracts a 23-year-old man? And how does it feel to break the world record for eating baked beans in one minute?

The Real Little Britain provides an hilarious and timely snapshot of Britain today; finding out everything from what really happens in a Weight Watchers class through to what it is to be a young man who only wants to date considerably older women. Using characters from ‘Little Britain’ such as Lou & Andy, Emily Howard and Vicky Pollard as a springboard, a variety of real people tell us their stories.

Never straying too far from Little Britain as an influence, all these questions and more are answered in The Real Little Britain.
