Episode Quotes

MacGyver: For my eighth birthday, my grandpa Harry drove me in his old blue pickup to the straightaway behind the Clements farm, put my hands on the steering wheel, and slammed his foot into the gas. I'll never forget the sound of the wind rushing past my ears, how the red needle trembled past ninety, the wheel shakin' in my hands. Scared me to death, and I thought nothing in the world could be more exciting.

Reporter: Which means you have to beat Stone on Sunday and you have to win the race to take the championship. What makes you think you can do it?
Hans Visser: I don't know how to lose.
MacGyver: How do you respond to that, Jeff?
Jeff Stone: I'll respond during the race.

MacGyver: You're a glory hound, Visser. And you're still dangerous.
Hans Visser: It takes nerves to win, MacGyver. You lost yours, remember?

Charlie Stone: He told me that what he did for a living was dangerous, but... if you let yourself be afraid of dying, you're just gonna end up being afraid of living.

MacGyver: Needs work. Engine, fresh rubber, new brakes, drive train, heats, everything.
Pete: Well, actually, I've seen you do a lot more... with a lot less.

Pete: It's like you said. "Good ole clever MacGyver, he can fix anything." Maybe it's time he fixed himself.
