Episode Quotes

MacGyver: What's goin' on with your eyes?
Pete: What do you mean?
MacGyver: Well, I've been watchin' you bump into things. You came out here for apple juice, and that's orange juice. Hey, what's goin' on?
Pete: It's my peripheral vision.
MacGyver: How bad is it?
Pete: Pretty bad. It's the real reason that I called you in when things fell apart at the railroad station. MacGyver, I have glaucoma.
MacGyver: That's treatable, isn't it?
Pete: Yeah, but mine is complicated. I have... advanced nerve damage—very advanced. It's a little bit like looking down a tunnel with very little light at the end. And I have a lot of trouble with either too much or too little light anywhere. I let it go too long.

(Pete is on the floor looking for his pills)
Samantha Lorra: Peter, what are you doing?
Pete: Well what does it look like I'm doing? I'm pretending to be a dog!

MacGyver: Scatter a few stones, create a diversion.
Nelson Richardson: How did you think of that?
MacGyver: Uh, don't know, just kinda made sense.

Episode References

MacGyverisms:
* A railroad steam pipe to fire rocks and then a metal rod
* A grinder to cut ropes and free tied-up hands
* The power cable from an airplane tug cart, rigged to a metal door to shock men trying to smash it down with an I-beam

Pete mentions that Jerico Broadcasting is playing the videotape with the evidence against the San Pablo death squads. Jerico Broadcasting is the organization that sponsored the Jerico games in the episode of the same name.
