Analysis |
| |
As with the second season, the third season ends with a trip to Soichiro's grave. Every time Kyoko visits Soichiro's grave a new revelation comes out. Throughout the series it is obvious that Kyoko has much healing to do before she can move on with her life. She deals with the day to day living in the aftermath of her husband's death and as time passes, she thinks of him less and less. When she returns to the grave she is able to face the realities in her life that she doesn't take the time to think of during her busy schedule. More and more Kyoko is learning to let go of the past and live her life, rather then just wait to die to be with her husband again. It is at the quiet times at Soichiro's grave, that instead of immersing herself in her grief over his loss, she is able to come to grips with being alive and learning to love again. Visiting Soichiro's grave is no longer a place of sadness, but a reminder to her to live and be happy. |
