Episode Quotes
Mike: Looks like you've had quite a ride.
Bret: In that sun, crossin' the street would be quite a ride.

Mike: Feel like eatin'?
Bret: Not unless you've got free food.

Mike: There's ten dollars here. You only took him for five.
Bret: I got a delicate conscience.

Bret: I don't cheat at cards. I don't have to. There's no one easier to beat than a card sharp if you know his twists.

Bret: (about Molly) What's a pretty girl like that doin' in Bent Fork?
Sheriff: What's a drifter like you wanna know for?

Jordan: These are big stakes, Molly. We both have to do things we'd rather not.

Bret: (to Molly) I like you even if you do think I'm a shorthorn.

Bret: (to Molly) Lady, I never worry about anything.

Sheriff: (to Bret about Molly) The next time I hear you're around her I'll pound you lop-sided.

Molly: I just need more time to think.
Jordan: You've had too much time to think.

Analysis
Pretty average early entry in the series that features Bret for the first time getting framed for something he didn't do by a villain and his conniving female accomplice. Though not one of the series' better entries it's forgivable because the producers were still experimenting with what would work and what wouldn't.
