Episode Quotes
Pappyism: Some men are afraid of the dark and some are afraid to leave it.

King: (about McManus) Mean lookin', ain't he?
Beau: Ain't he?

McManus: Women can sure make men do fool things.

King: (to Beau) That Wolf seems to be a real mean fellow. I guess one day I'm gonna have to kill him.

Erma: You don't look so much like a play actor in the daytime.
Beau: Campfires always flatter me.

McManus: (to Kid Kerr) Don't start on me, Kid. I don't waste any time bluffin'. I'll just blast your head off.

Judge: Kid, you've got an evil mind.

Beau: Surely you're not suggesting I go along with you as your prisoner.
Judge: You might find that more desirable than its alternative.

Judge: (to Beau) Don't try to bluff with a man who can see both sides of the cards.

Erma: What do we do now?
Beau: My first instinct is to climb and I have a very high regard for first instincts.

McManus: You can smoke a cigarette, mister.
Beau: Why?
McManus: That's how much time you've got before I settle with you.

Episode References
Marshal Dan Troup from the ABC/Warner Brothers Western Lawman is mentioned in the dialogue of this episode.

Analysis
Probably the best Roger Moore solo effort of the series and it's helped along by nice turns from veteran character actors John Carradine, Lee Van Cleef, and Mike Road. Plus there's the luscious Sherry Jackson as the damsel of the week.
