John Carradine is the father of actors David, Robert, and Keith Carradine.
Lee Van Cleef later became a star in Italian westerns such as For a Few Dollars More and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
Sherry Jackson had previously co-starred on Make Room for Daddy.
This episode marked the final appearance of Roger Moore as Beau Maverick on the series. Moore departed when his Warner Brothers contract expired with several shows remaining to be filmed in Season Four. The studio brought in Robert Colbert to replace Moore. All in all, Moore had appeared in 15 episodes as Beau Maverick.
MIke Road would later provide the voice of Race Bannon on the classic adventure cartoon Jonny Quest.

Analysis
Probably the best Roger Moore solo effort of the series and it's helped along by nice turns from veteran character actors John Carradine, Lee Van Cleef, and Mike Road. Plus there's the luscious Sherry Jackson as the damsel of the week.
