Several people in a station in Antarctica are getting infected with an aggressive ammonia. What's even worst is one of the NIH's own is also infected and the team may have difficulty getting aid because of a strong storm outside.

Recap

Frank Powell has to leave his family again for work, but promises his daughter that he will be back for her birthday. The team, minus Eva Rossi, heads to Antarctica after several people had already died from a strange disease. Once they got to the scene, Dr. Stephen Connors decides to sent Miles McCabe, along with several sick people and a dead body back to the hospital, to do an autopsy. That leaves Connor, Dr. Natalie Durant, Frank Powell, and two other station personals waiting for the next helicopter. ..

Episode Notes
This is the first time Medical Investigation faced CBS's new drama, Numb3rs, and it also mark steady downfall of MI after weeks of strong ratings. This eventually led NBC to cancel the show.



Analysis
The relationship we've seen with Frank and their family is very similar to the relationship of Stephen and his family. The only difference is Stephen is divorced because of the work hours in the NIH and Frank's family is holding on to Frank's long hours in the NIH.
