Mr. Rogers decides to go visit Mrs. Russellite in order to examine her collection of lampshades. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine Fairchilde convinces King Friday XIII to create a new set of rules for his kingdom.

Mr. Rogers brings out an old bag and he shows the viewers how it can be many uses if one puts their imagination to use. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII appoints Betty Aberlin as a member of the border patrol, as he doesn’t want his kingdom to be invaded.
 
3 :01x03 - Change (3) (Feb/21/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII’s border patrol has caused his neighbors to begin to worry about their own safety, so they refuse to visit his kingdom when they were scheduled for an audience.
 
4 :01x04 - Change (4) (Feb/22/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides to let a puppy play around inside of his apartment, though he keeps the puppy inside of a pet pen to prevent it from tearing up the house. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII hires a handyman to install some new features throughout the vicinity of his kingdom.
 
5 :01x05 - Change (5) (Feb/23/1968)
Mr. Rogers shows the viewers what helium is like, in which he inflates several helium balloons to show the viewers how they float. Mr. Rogers writes a note to King Friday XIII and he gives it to Betty Aberlin, along with the helium balloon, in which she takes it to King Friday XIII in an attempt to get him to stop his attempts to change the kingdom.
 
6 :01x06 - Show 6 (Feb/26/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides to get the viewers to test their mind when he requests that they find the similarity between a turtle, a conch shell, an armadillo and a suit of armor. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, a man by the name of Bud Alder attempts to show the citizens of the kingdom two very good, yet different styles of paint.
 
7 :01x07 - Show 7 (Feb/27/1968)
Mr. Rogers shows the viewers his pet canary and he talks about the responsibility that one must undertake when one has a pet. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine learns her lesson when she attempts to do something that she never practiced for.
 
8 :01x08 - Show 8 (Feb/28/1968)
The Neighborhood of Make-Believe is holding a party to celebrate the value of peace, in which they discover that there’s going to be a surprise guest showing up, much to the enjoyment of the citizens of the kingdom.
 
9 :01x09 - Show 9 (Feb/29/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides to bring out his old tape player and he plays voice recordings of some of the citizens of the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, in which he requests that the viewers try to guess which character is currently speaking.
 
10 :01x10 - Show 10 (Mar/01/1968)
Mr. Rogers takes out his binoculars and he attempts to show the viewers at home what they’re designed for and how they function. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Betty Aberlin decides to dress up like a snow goose in an attempt to spread some cheer across the land.
 
11 :01x11 - Show 11 (Mar/04/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Henrietta is upset because X the Owl is always spending time with Lady Elaine, though X decides to invite Henrietta to come bird watching with him in order to try to cheer her up.
 
12 :01x12 - Show 12 (Mar/05/1968)
Mr. Rogers is visited by a mime named Jewell Walker, who performs for Mr. Rogers by miming a baseball game for him. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the aforementioned mime decides to try to teach X the Owl some math in an attempt to help him with his studies.
 
13 :01x13 - Show 13 (Mar/06/1968)
Mr. Rogers talks about how it isn’t nice to take things from others without their permission, as he feels that if you kindly ask, you may be able to obtain something you want without hurting anyone’s feelings. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine Fairchild takes King Friday XIII’s favorite painting without telling him that she was the one who took it.
 
14 :01x14 - Show 14 (Mar/07/1968)
Mr. Rogers takes out a piece of paper and he writers out how he envisions a song, as the song makes him feel unique and he encourages the viewers at home to do the same. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, a professor arrives who teaches the citizens of the kingdom about a famous painter.
 
15 :01x15 - Show 15 (Mar/08/1968)
Mr. Rogers injures his finger while inside of his apartment and he decides to put a bandage on it, in order to show the viewers at home that bandages help make injuries get better.
 
16 :01x16 - Welcome Donkey Hodie (1) (Mar/11/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Betty Aberlin decides to knit a sweater for Henrietta, though X expresses that he once one as well. However, when a sculptor visits the kingdom, many of the individuals in the vicinity become curious about what he’s capable of doing.
 
17 :01x17 - Welcome Donkey Hodie (2) (Mar/12/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides to bring a donkey into his home in order to show the viewers what donkeys are like. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the entire kingdom is celebrating the arrival of the sculptor, Donkey Hodie, though King Friday XIII starts to become wary of his new subject.
 
18 :01x18 - Welcome Donkey Hodie (3) (Mar/13/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides to take out his clarinet and he shows the viewers how to play the instrument. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make Believe, Donkey Hodie decides to stay in X’s house until he can find another facility to live in.
 
19 :01x19 - Welcome Donkey Hodie (4) (Mar/14/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Donkey Hodie decides that he wishes to live in an old windmill that is on the castle’s grounds, though due to its sensitive location, King Friday XIII is opposed to the prospect.
 
20 :01x20 - Welcome Donkey Hodie (5) (Mar/15/1968)
Mr. Rogers takes out a model of a windmill in hopes of showing the viewers how windmills function and operate. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the citizens of the kingdom attempt to persuade King Friday XIII to let Donkey Hodie live in the old windmill.
 
21 :01x21 - Show 21 (Mar/18/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Donkey Hodie is still getting used to his new living quarters, though a chef arrives who asks a request of him in order to try to get what he needs to make something he’s always wanted to make.
 
22 :01x22 - Show 22 (Mar/19/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides to tell the viewers about the President of the United States of America, as well as the White House and several other important factors about the government.
 
23 :01x23 - Show 23 (Mar/20/1968)
Mr. Rogers takes out several old pairs of eyeglasses in order to explain to viewers why eyeglasses are so important to people and how exactly they work. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Henrietta receives a pair of eyeglasses in order to improve her vision, though X becomes envious of hew newfound accessory.
 
24 :01x24 - Show 24 (Mar/21/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides to go an optometrist in order to get his eye examined, in which he explains to the viewers that the process doesn’t hurt at all. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII is still paranoid of Donkey Hodie and he mandates that the windmill be moved further away from his castle.
 
25 :01x25 - Show 25 (Mar/22/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Betty Aberlin, X and Henrietta all go visit Donkey Hodie after he was forced to move to a different location by King Friday XIII.
 
26 :01x26 - Show 26 (Mar/25/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides to bring out an old toy doll, in which he changes its diaper in order to tell the viewers that they were once that small and that they’ve all grown up. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Tadpole Frogg becomes worried that he isn’t growing fast enough, so he checks into a local hospital in hopes of getting fixed.
 
27 :01x27 - Show 27 (Mar/26/1968)
Mr. Rogers purchases a toy bed and he puts it together so that the toy doll he had can sleep on it, in which Mr. Rogers tells the viewers the value that sleep has in their lives. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine attempts to figure out how to get Edgar’s pillow, as it’s the most comfortable pillow she’s ever seen.
 
28 :01x28 - Show 28 (Mar/27/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Edgar decides to lock his pillow in a safe in fear of having it stolen, though he isn’t too happy about being forced to take such precautions. Lady Elaine Fairchilde finds an item of her own while looking through the castle: an old boomerang, though she isn’t quite certain how it works.
 
29 :01x29 - Show 29 (Mar/28/1968)
Mr. Rogers talks about the importance of tailors in our society and he decides to visit a facility where he shows the viewers some tailors who are operating some looms.
 
30 :01x30 - Show 30 (Mar/29/1968)
Mr. Rogers is visited by Michael Grebanier, a musician, who plays several instruments upon Mr. Rogers’ request. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine Fairchilde’s boomerang starts to cause problems for the other citizens of the kingdom.
 
31 :01x31 - Red Monster (1) (Apr/01/1968)
Mr. Rogers wishes to tell the viewers about wild animals, though he is helped out by Mr. McFeely, who brings in a parakeet from Mexico. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII hears reports of a red monster that has been spotted in his kingdom.
 
32 :01x32 - Red Monster (2) (Apr/02/1968)
Mr. Rogers wishes to tell the viewers that masks are nothing to be afraid of and that you’ll always be yourself, regardless of what you wear. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII orders all the citizens of hid kingdom to be on the lookout in hopes of finding and capturing the red monster he’s heard about.
 
33 :01x33 - Red Monster (3) (Apr/03/1968)
Mr. Rogers goes to watch a ballet performance of “The Sad Monster Ballet”, in which he decides to give them some oranges in appreciation of their hard work.
 
34 :01x34 - Red Monster (4) (Apr/04/1968)
Mr. Rogers shows the viewers that it’s possible to play music by merely blowing over the top of open water bottles. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Digger Digorum is hired to track down the elusive red monster that has been plaguing the lands of Make-Believe.
 
35 :01x35 - Red Monster (5) (Apr/05/1968)
Mr. Rogers and Chef Brockett decide to create some tunnels in the dirt in order to show the viewers at home how tunnels are made and how they manage to stay open. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII receives some startling news as to what the red monster he’s been searching for actually is.
 
36 :01x36 - Show 36 (Apr/08/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Digger Digorum decides that his work in the kingdom is done and he prepares to leave, though he decides to give everybody in the kingdom a going away present.
 
37 :01x37 - Show 37 (Apr/09/1968)
Mr. Rogers heads outside of his apartment and discovers that Peggy Lipschutz has drawn some art on the sidewalk using chalk, in which Mr. Rogers decides to talk about chalk and how exactly it works.
 
38 :01x38 - Show 38 (Apr/10/1968)
Mr. Rogers expresses the important of being physically fit and he demonstrates some exercises for the viewers at home. Meanwhile, the Neighborhood of Make-Believe welcomes back Sara Saturday, the woman who had caused the story of the red monster to go as drastically out of hand as it did.
 
39 :01x39 - Show 39 (Apr/11/1968)
The Neighborhood of Make-Believe decides to hold a reception for Sara Saturday to express that they bear no grudge against her, though Handyman Negri is having a difficult time deciding what he should wear to the event.
 
40 :01x40 - Show 40 (Apr/12/1968)
The Neighborhood of Make-Believe is continuing its reception for Sara Saturday, though King Friday XIII is about to call an end to the event, as it has went on long enough.
 
41 :01x41 - Show 41 (Apr/15/1968)
The Neighborhood of Make-Believe has been hit with a streak of stormy weather, in which many of the citizens of the kingdom are discovering that they all do different things whenever it rains.
 
42 :01x42 - Show 42 (Apr/16/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Betty Aberlin gives X a scarf that she had promised him quite some time ago, in which X repays her kindness by giving her his favorite walnut.
 
43 :01x43 - Show 43 (Apr/17/1968)
When John Reardon arrives in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII requests that he put on an opera for his enjoyment, in which he agrees to get started creating as soon as he possibly can.
 
44 :01x44 - Show 44 (Apr/18/1968)
The Neighborhood of Make-Believe is holding an audition in order to see who should play which parts in the opera and Henrietta is really looking forward to participating, though she decides to baby-sit for Sara Saturday in order to permit her to enjoy the event in her stead.
 
45 :01x45 - Show 45 (Apr/19/1968)
It’s time for the opera in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe and everyone is really excited about what is going to take place. However, Henrietta misses out on all the enjoyment since she agreed to baby-sit for her friends.
 
46 :01x46 - Show 46 (Apr/22/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides to go get a haircut in order to show the viewers at home that it doesn’t hurt when you get a haircut. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the same barber who cut Mr. Rogers’ hair has gone to cut Corny’s hair, as he has been letting his hair grow too long.
 
47 :01x47 - Show 47 (Apr/23/1968)
The Neighborhood of Make-Believe has two surprise visitors, Marion and Nicholas Petrov, who have decides to dress up as the kingdom’s own X and Henrietta. The citizens of the kingdom all begin to wonder what exactly is going on, though the two’s antics soon starts to spread enjoyment to all who watch them.
 
48 :01x48 - Show 48 (Apr/24/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Chef Brockett shows up and he decides to give all of the citizens of the kingdom various apple related objects, though the citizens start to wonder why he’s decided to select apples as his gifts.
 
49 :01x49 - Show 49 (Apr/25/1968)
Mr. Rogers shows the viewers at home how they can blow into a straw that is emerged in water and have bubbles be created. Meanwhile, Paul Draper visits the Neighborhood of Make-Believe and he shows the citizens how to tap-dance.
 
50 :01x50 - Show 50 (Apr/26/1968)
Mr. Rogers is visited by Mr. McFeely who shows his battery operated shovel, which helps make digging a breeze. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Marchi talks with Henrietta and X about how boys and girls behave differently and do things in a different fashion.
 
51 :01x51 - Show 51 (Apr/29/1968)
Jewell Walker once again comes to Mr. Rogers’ house in order to mime another story for him. Later, Mr. Rogers decides to visit a bear trainer who has a trained bear that can obey several different commands.
 
52 :01x52 - Show 52 (Apr/30/1968)
Mr. Rogers is visited by Katie Lewin, who talks to him about how puzzles are made and how all the little pieces are crafted to perfection, to permit them to come together just right. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri and Daniel Striped Tiger start to organize a unique play at X’s request.
 
53 :01x53 - Show 53 (May/01/1968)
Mr. Rogers tells the viewers about Benjamin Franklin, explaining his importance in the world and he also reads a story about his childhood. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the unique Benjamin Franklin plays gains another unique twist that increases its complexity.
 
54 :01x54 - Show 54 (May/02/1968)
Mr. Rogers is visited by Mr. Adler, who explains to him how certain objects have strange reactions when exposed to heat. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, X decides to help promote the play that is being created by his friends, though King Friday XIII complicates things by demanding he have a leading role in the play.
 
55 :01x55 - Show 55 (May/03/1968)
Despite the tremendous obstacles that they’ve faced, the Neighborhood of Make-Believe finally gets around to holding their play, though due to all the changes, it’s now known as “King Friday, Goldilocks, Benjamin Franklin and the Three Bears.”
 
56 :01x56 - Show 56 (May/06/1968)
Mr. Rogers shows the viewers that he has a basket of vegetables, in which Chef Brockett shows up and he shows Mr. Rogers’ how to cook the vegetables. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, chef Brockett shows up with Mr. Rogers’ vegetables and he decides to give them out to the citizens of the kingdom.
 
57 :01x57 - Show 57 (May/07/1968)
Mr. Rogers talks to the viewers about rabbits and some of their most noticeable characteristics. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Henrietta receives a surprise visit when she was feeling depressed, though spending time with her old friend soon puts her back in a good mood.

Mr. Rogers talks to the viewers about babies and that children shouldn’t feel upset if their parents bring another baby into their home. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII is too busy to spend time with Joey Hollingsworth, so he mandates that one of his subordinates spend time with him in his stead.
 
59 :01x59 - Show 59 (May/09/1968)
Mr. Rogers takes out several tools that many individuals use to repair things, in which handyman Negri decides to fix Mr. Rogers’ sink. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Tadpole Frogg is upset because he thinks he’s responsible for breaking one of the fountains in the kingdom.
 
60 :01x60 - Show 60 (May/10/1968)
Mr. Rogers talks to the viewers about clowns and he uses a marionette in order to explain what he’s talking about. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make Believe, King Friday XIII is trying to skip the formalities in a dance rehearsal because he wishes to make time to ask Sara Saturday if she would be willing to attend the dance with him.
 
61 :01x61 - Show 61 (May/13/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides is visited by Professor Fitzpatrick who shows Mr. Rogers two different paintings of the same area, though one has a calm ocean while the other has a stormy ocean. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Corny and Joey Hollingsworth decide to dig a well in hopes of providing the citizens of the kingdom with some more water.
 
62 :01x62 - Show 62 (May/14/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Corny and Joey’s well has struck water and Corny decides to send two objects to King Friday XIII as a sign of respect and continued loyalty.
 
63 :01x63 - Show 63 (May/15/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides to heat some hotdog buns in his oven so that he can eat them with Mr. McFeely and Chef Brocket. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Corny’s new factory suddenly burns down in a freak accident.
 
64 :01x64 - Show 64 (May/16/1968)
Mr. Rogers tells the viewers at home of the importance of firemen, in which he decides to dress up as one in order to show the viewers what they look like. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, many of the citizens of the kingdom decide to work together to rebuild Corny’s factory.
 
65 :01x65 - Show 65 (May/17/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Betty Aberlin, Handyman Negri and X are working to rebuild the factory, in which the rest of the citizens of the kingdom donate some personal items in order to help with their endeavors, though King Friday XIII is reluctant to part with his valuables.
 
66 :01x66 - Show 66 (May/20/1968)
Mr. Rogers tells the viewers that toys can do whatever you want them to do, even if they were created for a specific person. His son John shows the viewers how he chooses to play with some model antique cars, even though most models were made to just be looked at. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Corny is ecstatic that all of his friends have pooled together in order to rebuild his factory.
 
67 :01x67 - Show 67 (May/21/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII decides that he should go ahead and officially open the rebuilt factory, though Lady Elaine Fairchilde realizes there’s a reason King Friday XIII has been reluctant to help out, so she decides to surprise him with something at the official dedication ceremony.
 
68 :01x68 - Show 68 (May/22/1968)
Mr. Rogers decides to show the viewers a dance class where the children are taught to dance to the sound of a music synthesizer, in which he speaks with the instructor about what the class is primarily all about.
 
69 :01x69 - Show 69 (May/23/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Donkey Hodie is sad that he’s still forced to live at Someplace Else, as King Friday XIII didn’t want him to live in his kingdom. Feeling lonely, he decides to send a letter to his friends in hopes of persuading them of dropping by for a visit.
 
70 :01x70 - Show 70 (May/24/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, many of the citizens of King Friday XIII’s kingdom visit Someplace Else after receiving Donkey Hodie’s letter, in which they decide to spend the entire day there in order to spend time with their old friend.
 
71 :01x71 - Show 71 (May/27/1968)
Mr. Rogers talks to the viewers about how important it is that they brush their teeth every day. Meanwhile, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Mr. McFeely brings Donkey Hodie some mouthwash and Sara Saturday goes to the castle in hopes of practicing a dance with King Friday XIII.
 
72 :01x72 - Show 72 (May/28/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII and Handyman Negri decide to impose new laws amongst the kingdom to forbid all acts of littering, as they wish to try to keep the kingdom as beautiful and clean as possible.
 
73 :01x73 - Show 73 (May/29/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine Fairchilde is punished for her blatant act of littering that she performed when she was unable to get one of Chef Brockett’s cookies. However, King Friday XIII doesn’t care about her excuses and he demands that she clean up her mess.
 
74 :01x74 - Show 74 (May/30/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Kind Friday XIII is granted an official citation for his anti-litter campaigns, though he still needs to convince his subjects to do everything in their power to clean up the messes that they had previously left behind.
 
75 :01x75 - Show 75 (May/31/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Betty Aberlin decides to dress up as X the owl in order to make Miss Emille feel better, as she had been sick for quite some time and she may become better if her spirits were raised.
 
76 :01x76 - Show 76 (Jun/03/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Dr. Marchi attempts to speak with several citizens of the kingdom in order to try to find a way to restore King Friday XIII’s good mood, as he has been depressed recently since Sara Saturday has been away on her travels.
 
77 :01x77 - Show 77 (Jun/04/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Betty Aberlin attempts to hire several teenaged performers in hopes of lifting King Friday XIII’s poor disposition, though she isn’t certain if she’ll find any success.
 
78 :01x78 - Show 78 (Jun/05/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri agrees to find Sara Saturday within a few days in hopes of informing her of how much King Friday XIII has missed her since she left.
 
79 :01x79 - Show 79 (Jun/06/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII is invited to visit Sara Saturday in her home outside of the vicinity of the kingdom, though he is reluctant because he doesn’t feel safe traveling outside of his kingdom.
 
80 :01x80 - Show 80 (Jun/07/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII comes to a decision as to whether or not he wishes to risk traveling outside of his kingdom in order to see the woman that he’s in love with.
 
81 :01x81 - Show 81 (Jun/10/1968)
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, John Reardon has taken up position as a mailman and he informs the citizens that King Friday XIII is going to be at Sara Saturday’s establishment for longer than they expected. Seeking to exploit this opportunity, Lady Elaine Fairchilde decides to set up a campsite right in the middle of the castle’s courtyard.
 
82 :01x82 - Show 82 (Jun/11/1968)
