Monty Python, or The Pythons, is the collective name of the creators and stars of Monty Python's Flying Circus, the legendary comedy sketch show that first aired in 1969. It went on to eventually comprise 45 episodes over four series, but the Python phenomenon was much greater, spawning stage tours, four films, numerous albums, several computer games and books, as well as launching the members to individual stardom. This documentary, and supporting 48 page book, recollects how the Pythons came together, and examines the group's profound influence upon British and American comedy. The DVD features archive footage alongside analysis from a leading team of comedians, journalists and critics, such as Alexei Sayle, Tom Binns, Ian Stone, Neil Innes.
