| Mork gets commercialized

Interesting episode Mork, the Orkon gets exposed to the power of alluring advertising and goes on a spending binge. Later when he gets home and watches tv he can't help but re-enact every commercial he sees and buy anything he gets his hands on.
In a way, I assume that the point of this episode is to explore what happens to an innocent being (alien or not) when he/she gets exposed to the world of capitalism and commercialism. Mork's trangression into a compulsive consumer is a very modern theme especially in today's age where consumers are bombarded by advertisers every sec, every day regardless if it's the tv, radio or newspaper.
As a twist for this theme, the writers have Mork develop a nightmare where he is consumed into being another braindead consumer in variation with the movie "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".
It's actually pretty well done and has a lot of humorous moments. Pam Dawber is both funny and sexy in this one. i can see why Robin Williams really enjoyed his stunt on this show with such a fine woman.
An enjoyable episode.
